TRANSFORMATIVE SPACES
Transformative spaces surround the coal loader site and slowly change throughout the day to evoke a behavioural change on anyone within the space. Influence was drawn from the vast amount of small ‘cave shelters’ around Waverton Peninsula that vary from smooth, steep or stepped, often formed overtime due to weathering and erosion. As spaces shift, reveal or unfold, it changes the way in which we interact and activate the space at that given time.
It is this idea that as our surroundings are forever changing, why shouldn’t our spaces do the same? |
